The Samsung Galaxy S3 release event in the United States took place recently and it has gotten thousands of Galaxy fans excited about the pioneering smartphone. The launch event focused on many of the features Samsung has implemented that no other smartphone yet has, in efforts to win over new portions of the mobile phone market share.
Weeks after Samsung's landmark smartphone became available across Europe, the phone is finally set to land in the U.S. and will be available on all four major carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile among others.
Delays have been reported for the smartphone's release in the U.S. but the wait is almost over for those excited to get their hands on the new device.
However, many have been surprised that the Galaxy S3's U.S. launch didn't focus on its state of the art hardware, or the streamlined Ice Cream Sandwich, but rather some other more slightly obscure features. One of those features was the S Beam, which allows two devices to be placed back to back to transfer content between the smartphones. Not exactly groundbreaking! And this feature is only useful if both devices are the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Another feature was ShareShot, which allows people to share images instantly. This was quite impressive, but still it is unclear why Samsung has decided to focus on these smaller features rather than boasting about its core highlights.
SmartStay allows the smartphone to recognize automatically when the owner is looking at the screen, and ensures the screen will not dim when in use.

One of the coolest features shown was related to the camera. On the new Samsung Galaxy S3 users should be able to snap an amazing 20 shots in just three seconds, according to PC World.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 U.S. version will feature the 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, as opposed to the Exynos quad-core processor, which is featured in the international version.
The smartphone will boast a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720, and will support 4G LTE. The camera will be 8-megapixels.
